I am currently supervising two PhD students, and have previously been involved in the supervision of a postdoctoral researcher and a PhD student.
Charles Rouvier
Charles Rouvier is a PhD student under the co-supervision of Valentin Flaudias (University Clermont Auvergne) and Sophie Blanchet (Université Paris Cité). Charles is a clinical psychologist with a Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Université Paris Cité, and works in the addiction unit (CSAPA) of the Cannes Hospital Centre. His doctoral research investigates the relationship between executive functions and craving in substance use disorders. This work aims to develop an EEG neurofeedback protocol designed to complement usual care in addiction treatment centres.
Kristina Abazaj
Kristina Abazaj is a PhD student under the codirection of Valentin Flaudias (University Clermont Auvergne), Pr Sébastien Guillaume (University of Montpellier). Kristina is a clinical psychologist with a Bachelor and Masters degree from Université Paris 8. She is currently conducting her doctorate research focusing on metacognition and eating disorders, with the aim of developing and evaluating a group-based metacognitive intervention for individuals with binge eating symptoms.

Aurelien Cornil
Aurélien Cornil was a post-doctoral fellow involved in the METABOU project. He holds a master’s degree in psychology from the UCLouvain, and has completed a thesis on gambling craving with Joël Billieux and Philippe de Timary. In particular, he is working on establishing a consensual definition of craving in a transdiagnostic approach.

Myrto Atzemian
Myrto Atzemian was a PhD student co-supervised by Rebecca Shankland, Catherine Martinet and Valentin Flaudias. Her doctoral work examined the impact of a mindfulness-based reading program on emotional regulation, anxiety, and cognitive functioning in students with dyslexia.
